What will happen at a Massage?

People may choose to have a massage to help ease a physical problem, for stress or anxiety, or for relaxation purposes.

Our massages are tailored to the individual needs of each client.  Therefore, a brief consultation will take place to discuss the client's medical history, why the client has come for a massage and what their expectations are.  All personal information obtained is treated in confidence and kept secure for any future reference.

A massage is performed upon a specially designed massage couch.  The client will always be covered with towels during a treatment, only uncovering the area of the body that is being worked upon.  At all times the client's modesty is protected.

Massage oil will be used which helps the therapist's hands to move freely and smoothly over the skin.  All the oils that are used at simplyhandsare organic and of the finest quality.

After the treatment, the massage and its affects will be discussed with the client and aftercare advice will be offered.

Massage is non-invasive, relaxing and natural.  It is generally considered a safe treatment for most people.  However, there are occasions when massage can only be performed once medical permission has been granted by a GP.  This will, of course be discussed in the consultation but if you are aware of having any medical condition please make the therapist aware prior to the appointment.

The relationship between the therapist and the client is strictly professional.  Any remarks or gestures made by the client which the therapist feels are sexually suggestive, harrassing or inappropriate will result in the immediate termination of the treatment and the client will be liable for full payment of the appointment.
